Notre Dame Academy, a preschool &#8211; 8th grade regional Catholic school located in Minnetonka, is currently looking for a Learning Specialist/Makerspace Teacher to join our team. The teacher in this position will work with elementary and middle school teachers and administration to determine which students need extra support or enrichment, and create a STEM experience in Makerspace classes for 3rd thru 5th grades. Position: Learning Specialist/Makerspace Teacher Timeline: 2025-20226 school year and beyond School: Notre Dame Academy, Minnetonka Salary Range: $41,500-$55,000 (based upon experience and full-time status) Responsibilities: * Create an intentionally inviting classroom environment for learning that reflects respect and positive rapport with students; establish a healthy culture for learning; use strategies that promote efficient and effective management of student behavior; and create a physical environment that is safe and conducive to optimal learning for the development of intellectual, personal, and spiritual character. * Prepare lessons according to school standards and requirements. * Use student information systems, communications systems, planning and grade book systems to track and maintain appropriate information and records. * Create and deliver effective reading, writing and math strategies. * Demonstrate the ability to support the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth of each student. * Conduct yourself in a professional manner consistent with the mission and purpose of the school. * Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and honesty. * Maintain accurate records, communication with families in a timely and effective manner. Job Qualifications: The ideal candidate will: * Have a BA or BS degree and a current MN Teaching License. * Ability to adapt to new programs/processes. * Desire to work within a team and ability to maintain a positive atmosphere with colleagues. * Experience with technology in the classroom, including interactive projector, Google Suite, MacBooks, Chromebooks, and software such as student management systems, etc. * Must bring a positive attitude and commitment to student growth to this position. * Complete Archdiocese background checks and Virtus training.
