Job Title: VISTA Education Center Assistant Principal
This position is for the 2025-2026 school year, starting ASAP.
FTE: 1.0
Description: Work with the principal to provide educational leadership for the school including staff and student supervision and curriculum development focused on the success of each student.
Qualifications:
Deep knowledge of special education due process, compliance, and documentation, ensuring all federal, state, and district regulations are consistently met.
Expertise in curriculum design, instructional strategies, and differentiation, with the ability to align programming to diverse student needs in a setting four special education environment.
Demonstrated skill in student management and behavior systems, including restorative practices and trauma-informed approaches to support positive outcomes for all learners.
Strong capacity to evaluate, coach, and support staff, fostering professional growth and ensuring high expectations in instructional practice and program delivery.
Proven ability to analyze and evaluate systems, using data to monitor effectiveness, drive continuous improvement, and ensure alignment with school and district goals.
Commitment to collaborative leadership, working alongside staff, families, and community partners to build a supportive and inclusive educational environment.
Experience in program development and implementation, ensuring rigorous academic instruction, social-emotional learning supports, and transition planning for students.
Skilled in balancing compliance with innovation, ensuring regulatory requirements are met while promoting flexible, student-centered programming.
- Current K-12 principal licensure or director of special education licensure.
- 3 years of K-12 teaching experience in special education.
- Minimum of 1-3 years teacher leadership experience

Salary Range: $139,650 - $150,150. Per Master Contract
