POSITION: School Counselor Long-Term Sub - 1.0 FTE

LOCATION: TCU Montgomery K-8

 

STARTING DATE: Approximately 12/11/2025-3/20/2026 

SALARY: $243.17/day - Per the Tri-City United ISD 2905 Master Teacher Agreement

BENEFITS: Retirement and paid time off

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

DATE OF POSTING: 9/17/2025

LICENSURE: MN licensure as a School Social Worker or a School Counselor preferred, but not required

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPECTATIONS: 

  • Support middle school students and staff to ensure students can thrive academically and emotionally in the school environment.

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create intervention strategies that address barriers to student success.

  • Identify and connect students with family, school, and community resources to maximize their educational experience.

  • Provide both individual and group counseling to students and their families.

  • Act as a resource for school staff regarding the identification and reporting of child abuse or neglect.

  • Partner with community organizations and mental health professionals to support students'' well-being.

  • Help school staff recognize how factors in a child’s home, school, and community may influence their academic performance and behavior.

  • Perform additional duties as needed.
