Goodhue Schools is seeking a compassionate, dependable paraprofessional to join our team. This role primarily supports students receiving special education services by providing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assistance under the direction of licensed special education teachers and related service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work directly with students to support academic and functional skill development in various settings (classroom, resource room, small group, individual).
- Implement accommodations, modifications, and behavior support plans as directed by teaching staff.
- Support students with daily routines, including personal care needs if required.
- Supervision during lunch and/or recess.
- Transportation duties as needed
- Foster positive relationships with students to encourage independence, self-advocacy, and engagement.
- Assist in data collection and progress monitoring.
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and other staff to maintain a safe, supportive learning environment.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Meet Highly Qualified Requirements: 2 years of post-secondary college coursework, Associate''s degree or higher, or passing score on the Paraeducator.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with students and staff.
- Flexibility, patience, and a team-oriented mindset.
Pay:
-Starting Pay is $18.85
