Job Description: Faribault Education Center- Adult Education is seeking a part-time adult education instructor to work with our adult students teaching CNA Prep (Nursing Assistant). This position will follow a special schedule based on student interest. This class will begin in November and run through the end of January and then ongoing as needed. The hours for this position are flexible and based student interest, but must operate Monday - Thursday between the hours of 8:30 am - 8 pm (approximately 8 hours per week). 

Essential Functions: 

• Follow MN State CNA curriculum and modify for student needs
• Align instruction to meet students'' goals and needs
• Use appropriate techniques for individual learning styles
• Build relationships with students and find ways to motivate each individual to reach their full potential 
• Keep accurate records and student attendance 
• Work with college instructor if needed 
• Manage classroom and open learning labs to facilitate learning and retention of students
• Ability to relate and communicate with students learning English 

Minimum Requirements: 

• Strong digital literacy, computer skills, and using online instruction as needed
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
• MN Teaching license and degree or experience in Nursing
• Ability to manage time and responsibilities
• Demonstrated history of racial equity work and focus on increasing racial awareness
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of adult learners
• Collaborate with other partners to support student success and program goals

Preferred Education and Experience: 

• Ability to speak some conversational Spanish or Somali.
• Experience teaching Nursing Assistant Prep
