School Summary
Minnesota Connections Academy (MNCA) is a tuition-free, online public charter school for students in grades K-12 throughout Minnesota. MNCA is a member of the Minnesota Transitions Charter School (MTCS), a K-12 academic community. MNCA is a state-approved online program operated through a contract with Connections Academy of Minnesota, LLC, to provide the educational program and other services. MNCA is accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, an accrediting division of AdvancED.

Responsibilities
The MTSS Coordinator’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Oversee and provide knowledge, guidance, coaching, training, and support to administrators, general and special education teachers, and other professional staff on MTSS implementation; including attendance, academic interventions, and student behavior.
- Collaborate with the MNCA Leadership Team to plan, develop, and implement school-wide attendance and truancy plans.
- Develop and Implement unique strategies to engage families with the support of the MNCA team.
- Develop and maintain a system to identify students in need of an intervention (RTI).
- Collaborate with Interventionists
- Monitor student placement and progress in interventions
- Support in the development and implementation of Tier 1-3 supports
- Work with the special education team to support students
- Be knowledgeable of different support offerings and train others
- Facilitate a process for identification and tracking of students who would benefit from Positive Behavioral Intervention Strategies
- Schedule, facilitate and monitor meetings for students in need of Positive Behavioral Interventions and supports
- Provide reports and presentations as requested
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master’s degree preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Virtual leading or teaching experience preferred.
- Working knowledge and experience working with a variety of assessments for grades K-12
- Experience using data to drive interventions, instruction, and student outcomes
- Experience leading adults
- Proven track record supporting teaching staff, effectively managing their time, and enabling them to achieve their goals
- Flexibility; rolls up sleeves to get the job done and gets the right work done even amidst ambiguity High degree of detail-orientation, personal organization, and commitment to quality
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Thrives in a collaborative environment
- Sense of deep personal responsibility for the organization''s success
- Competent with Microsoft Excel, and the Google Platform.
