Preschool Teacher

Position Summary

The Preschool Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating educational environment for young children. This role involves developing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum, fostering social and emotional development, and maintaining open communication with parents and guardians.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Development and Implementation:
• Plan and execute daily lessons and activities that align with early childhood development standards.
• Create a dynamic and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Incorporate various teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Child Development and Assessment:
• Observe and assess children''s progress, identifying areas of strength and areas needing additional support.
• Maintain accurate records of each child''s development.
• Provide individualized attention and support to meet the unique needs of each child.
• Classroom Management:
• Establish and maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom.
• Implement positive behavior management strategies.
• Supervise children during all activities, including playtime, meals, and naptime.
• Parent Communication and Engagement:
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child''s progress, achievements, and any concerns.
• Conduct parent-teacher conferences as needed.
• Organize and participate in parent involvement activities.
• Collaboration and Professional Development:
• Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive learning environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
• Stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field preferred. Associate''s degree with relevant experience will be considered.
• Experience: Experience working in a school setting or with children.
• Skills:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with young children.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position. Hours may vary based on the needs of the program. The Preschool Teacher will work primarily indoors in a classroom setting, with some outdoor activities.
