NOTICE OF AVAILABLE POSITION
NIGHT LEAD CUSTODIAN

Eden Prairie Schools has a career opportunity for a Night Lead Custodian.  This position assists the Maintenance Operations Coordinator with direction of the night custodial staff and maintaining the physical school plant and grounds in a condition of operating excellence in order to provide quality education and a safe environment for all staff and students.  Please see the attached job description for more details about this position.
 

 POSITION:
 Night Lead Custodian

 LOCATION:
 Eden Lake Elementary

 RATE OF PAY:
 $32.11/hour + $0.60 (night differential)

 HOURS PER DAY:
 8

 START & ENDING TIME:
 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM

 
WORKING DAYS PER  YEAR:                                  		 
 260 days/year (full-time)

 PAID HOLIDAYS:
 12

 QUALIFICATIONS:

 Please see the attached job   description for more details   about this position.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Boilers license* at level required by building, or ability to obtain within probationary period.
  • Ability to obtain bus driver''s license by end of probationary period.
  • Three years'' custodial experience, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform minor repair jobs.
  • Ability to set prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and takes direction from several sources.
  • Ability to read and comprehend basic operating instructions.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to give work direction.
  • Ability to meet the public & communicate with students. 

BOILERS LICENSE INFORMATION:
* To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, a Special Engineer’s License  with the ability obtain a 2nd Class C Boiler’s license by the end of their probationary period (6 months after hire).


 TESTING REQUIRED:
All job offers from Eden Prairie Schools are conditioned upon passing a pre-employment criminal background check and ISD 272 School Board approval.  Offers for these positions will also be conditioned upon passing a pre-employment physical abilities test.
