Eagle Ridge Academy is a Tuition-Free Classical, College-Preparatory Charter School serving about 1,550 students in grades K-12.  Eagle Ridge offers an academically rigorous education that uses a time-tested, Classical, liberal arts curriculum.

Instructional Coach  (Full-Time 1.0)
The role of the Instructional Coach requires the teacher to conduct informal observations that will provide coaching opportunities and promote teacher growth. This role serves as an advisor of teacher leaders. Additionally, they will serve as a professional resource to teachers. The Instructional Coach will represent Eagle Ridge Academy with professionalism and respect and will uphold the school’s standards and Classical philosophy. It is essential that high standards of confidentiality be maintained within the school and in the community. The Instructional Coach is expected to uphold Eagle Ridge Academy Board’s policies and expectations in all communications with faculty, staff, students, parents, district employees, and the community.


 
Reports to: Director of Academics
Q Comp
  • Conduct teacher observations, provide meaningful feedback regarding teacher’s development of plans and delivery of lessons, and provide model lesson demonstrations to colleagues as needed.
  • Coach, encourage, teach and demonstrate research-based practices that fit with the school curriculum and classical education.
  • Facilitate leading PLC leader and peer coaching meetings.
  • Attend PLC meetings, team and department meetings.  Provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Maintains records and budgeting related to Q Comp. 
  • Arrange release time for teachers to conduct classroom observations or collaboration.
  • Assists in the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of teacher leaders.
Professional Development
  • Collaborate with school’s administration team to coordinate planning, scheduling, and facilitating of school-wide professional development.
  • Collaborate with Classical Co-op to foster classical education within PLCs, coaching, evaluation, and professional development training.
  • Attend training and workshops as they relate to classical education, Q Comp, ERA’s SMART goal, improving or strengthening curriculum and instruction, and effective teaching strategies.
  • Research and field test instructional strategies and the planning and presenting of professional development-based goals for students, teachers, and the school community. 
  • Collaborate with teachers in attaining professional goals.
Mentoring
  • Mentor and support new teachers during fall workshop week and throughout the year.
  • Lead monthly mentor meetings.
Other 
  • Other duties as assigned


Salary Range: $41,273 - $78,100
Job Type: Full-time, 186 days
