School Year: 2025–2026
POSITION:
ISD 361 is seeking a Full-Time Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Teacher to join our dynamic early learning team. This position serves children and families birth to five years of age and supports early intervention and screening services. Certified early childhood teachers with a passion for inclusive early learning are also encouraged to apply.
This position is based at the Early Education Center and includes travel within the local area to serve students and families across our district.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
● Active Minnesota Early Childhood Special Education License or willingness to obtain licensure
● Experience or willingness to learn Early Childhood Screening procedures.
● Successful educational experience working with young children (birth to age 5).
● Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills.
● Engage families and provide education on the importance of school, child development and positive school attendance.
Experience working with Native American students and/or students from low-income families preferred.
● Sensitivity to family strengths, diversity, and individual parenting styles.
Experience with formal assessments preferred.
● Strong written and verbal skills for documentation and reporting.
● Ability to maintain confidentiality and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
● Passionate and committed to helping all children reach their fullest potential.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
● Providing early intervention and special education services for children ages birth–5.
● Conducting developmental and educational assessments.
● Collaborating with families to support individualized learning and growth.
● Working with a team of educators and service providers to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs).
● Ability to provide push in and pull out services that are individualized.
● Train and collaborate with teachers and paraprofessionals on student goals.
● Supporting Early Childhood Screenings within the district.
