Assistant Musical Director Position -- Aitkin High School
Aitkin High School is searching for a part-time Assistant Musical Director to work with staff and students for the 2025-26 school spring musical.  This part-time position will work with the Choir teacher in selecting the cast,  musical sets as well as pre-audition choreography for the musical performance put on in the spring of each year. Other responsibilities will include: daily rehearsals with students, working with set designers, communicate with parents, staff, and students to monitor student progress, work with staff adjusting set lights and sound.  The assistant musical director must be able to collaborate with the choir instructor, be well organized, creative and possess the skills to block and stage the different musical scenes.   
Primary Responsibilities:
  --> Assist the musical director as needed in building and designing the set.
  --> Perform other relevant duties regarding the set designs, blocking and staging.
  --> Supervise students and assist in the rehersal of vocal and theatrical elements of the musical to enhance performances. 
  --> Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines. 
  --> Work with musical directors with lighting, sound, blocking and staging of scenes.  
Qualifications:
  --> Evidence of and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  --> Strong communications and interpersonal skills when working with other staff, parents, community members, supervisors and 
        students.
  --> Ability to receive feedback and adjust accordingly. 
  --> Strong work ethic and dedication to further the benefits of student participation in co-curricular activities.
  --> Ability to perform essential job functions or as assigned.
