Position:     Middle School Baseball Coach - 7th grade
License:       Preferred teaching/coaching license
Beginning:   March 31,2025

Rockford Area Schools is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 7th Grade Baseball Coach for the upcoming spring season.

Position Summary:
All coaches at Rockford Area Schools are responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and instruction to student-athletes in their program. The 7th Grade Baseball Coach works closely with the 8th Grade Coach to coordinate player development and team progression. The Varsity Coach also assists in establishing overall goals and direction for the baseball program.

Responsibilities:

• Design and coordinate team practices

• Assess player skills and create balanced teams

• Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive team environment

• Communicate effectively with the varsity coach, activities director, players, and parents

• Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all student-athletes

Schedule:

• Practices: After school, approximately 3:15-5:15 p.m.

• Games: Typically begin at 4:15 p.m.

Season Dates:
March 16, 2026 – mid to late May

Compensation:
Per district coaching stipend schedule.
