The Secondary Chemistry Teacher inspires curiosity, fosters scientific inquiry, and cultivates a lifelong love of learning in students. The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and deep content knowledge in physical, life, and earth sciences, while creating a classroom environment that is engaging, inclusive, and student-centered.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons across physical, life, and earth sciences.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and collaboration.
  • Implement hands-on labs, experiments, and technology-driven instruction to enhance learning.
  • Regularly assess student progress using formative and summative assessments, and use data to inform instruction.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, curriculum planning, and school-wide initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff regarding academic and social-emotional development.
  • Participate actively in professional development, staff meetings, and school events.
  • Uphold school policies, procedures, and expectations, modeling professionalism and integrity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field
  • Valid MN teaching license for middle or secondary science
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and differentiated instruction for diverse learners
