This teaching position is 3 days a week – Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday

 

Benson Early Learning Program has an opening for a Long Term Substitute VPK Teacher. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and the ability to create a positive, engaging learning environment for young children. This role will be focused on providing high-quality instruction in a general education Pre-K classroom while ensuring students'' social, emotional, and academic growth.

 

Description: The Long Term Substitute VPK Teacher is responsible for planning, preparing, and implementing lesson plans in order to prepare children with the skills necessary for kindergarten success.

 

Some Key Responsibilities:

·         Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning activities

·         Assess Student Progress

·         Works with Program Coordinator

·         Supports Parents

·         Maintain accurate records of student achievements

·         Assist in ensuring the health, physical, and social/emotional well-being and safety of the children at all times

 

Qualifications:

·         BA with coursework in child development, early childhood education (preferred)

·         Experience working with young children.

·         CPR and First Aid certified (preferred)

 

Salary range for this position: $23.12 - $37.20/hour
