Zumbrota- Mazppa High/Middle School Special Education Paraprofessional
ZM School District has an opening for a paraprofessional. ZM is hiring a paraprofessional to work individually and in small groups with students. Experience working as a paraprofessional is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to students with disabilities in general education and/or special education settings.
- Implement accommodations, modifications, and behavior supports as directed by licensed staff.
- Assist with academic tasks, communication, organization, social skills, and self-regulation.
- Support students during transitions, lunch, recess, transportation, and other school activities.
- Maintain a positive, safe, respectful learning environment.
- Collaborate with special education teachers, general education teachers, and support teams.
- Follow individual education plans (IEPs), behavior intervention plans (BIPs), and district protocols.
- Assist with personal care needs as required (e.g., toileting, feeding, mobility), depending on assignment.
- A high school diploma and one of the following is required:
- An AA, AS, AAS (or higher) degree, or
- Two years of post-secondary coursework (60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits) from an accredited institution of higher education which are applicable toward a bachelors degree, or
- Passing score on an approved paraprofessional assessment.
