Maranatha Christian Academy (MCA) is a private school serving Grades Pre-kindergarten through 12 in Brooklyn Park, MN. Our vision is for every Maranatha student to be highly educated, Christ-centered, and biblically anchored world changers. MCA has an opening for a long-term middle school math substitute teacher, starting in mid-February and continuing through May.
Essential Duties
- Prepares course objectives and lesson plans, following curriculum guidelines and any requirements or standards of the state and school
- Lectures, demonstrates, and uses audiovisual technology teaching aids to present subject matter to class
- Assigns lessons, homework, corrects papers, and hears oral presentations
- Prepares, administers, and corrects tests and records results
- Maintains order inside the classroom and other spaces on campus, as well as off-site school-sponsored activities
- Counsels students when academic and/or behavioral problems arise
- Communicate students'' academic progress and behavior with parents
- Keeps attendance and grade records as required by MCA
- Completes non-standard information requests for ISP Students (upper school only)

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor''s degree (B.A. or B.S.) completed from a four-year college or university
Desired License: Minnesota teaching license
Compensation - $175 per day
