ATTENTION TEACHERS!
The Austin Public School District is seeking to hire Summer School Teachers for Summer 2026!
Summer 2026 is just around the corner and there will be many opportunities to continue to support and accelerate student learning.
The Details:
Dates: Monday–Thursday, June 8th–25th (no school on June 19th) and July 6th–23rd
Time: 8:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
Location: Austin High School
Compensation:
MA Step 10 teacher: Potential to earn up to $5,761.80
MA Step 6 teacher: Potential to earn up to $4,412.88
Salary: Salary Range is according to education and experience. The salary range for the position is outlined on page 56-57 of the Austin Education Association Working Agreement:

Next Steps:
Student registration will occur between January and March.
Teaching applications open in December.
Hiring will be finalized once students have been identified.
Staffing decisions are based on student enrollment and staff licensure area. The length of employment will depend on the number of students assigned to you. We will evaluate numbers at the end of each day. Teachers from inside and outside the district may apply. Staff will be notified if they are selected for a position by May 2026.

Qualifications:
Candidates must have or be able to obtain a proper License from PELSB.
