Position: Upper School Part-time Social Studies - Long-term Substitute Teache

Reports to: Upper School Principal

Position Overview

Marshall School seeks a dynamic and versatile educator to be a long-term substitute teacher for spring semester for three sections of high school social studies. The courses will meet every other day.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in History, Social Studies, Political Science, Geography or Education or similar. 

  • A love for teaching adolescents, a passion for social studies education, and a commitment to student-centered education.

  • A strong desire to work closely with students and colleagues in and out of the classroom


Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 + years prior teaching experience or equivalent.

  • A master’s degree is preferred.

This is a .6 position for one semester. The numbers below represent a full 1.0 salary range for a full year. 

00-10 years $34,619 - $48,691/year    

11-20 years $47,340 - $56,908/year    

21-30 years $55,214 - $65,035/year    

31-40 years $61,055 - $69,163/year

00-10 years  $10,388 - $14,607

11-20 years $14,202 - $17, 072 

21-30 years $16,564 - $19,511

31-40 years $18,317 - $20,749
