Position Overview
- Hayfield Community Schools is seeking a full-time Ag/Industrial Technology Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year and beyond.
- This position includes teaching introductory courses at the junior high level and a combination of agriculture and industrial technology courses at the senior high level.
- The ideal candidate is passionate about hands-on learning, career and technical education, and preparing students for real-world applications and technical careers.
Teaching Responsibilities
- Teach Industrial Technology and Agriculture-related courses, which may include:
- Woods
- Small Engines
- Fabrication (laser engraving, CAD, vinyl)
- Home Improvement / DIY
- Construction and manufacturing-related coursework
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with Minnesota state standards
- Create and maintain a safe, organized, and hands-on learning environment
- Assess student learning and provide timely, meaningful feedback
- Foster student interest in agriculture, construction, manufacturing, and technical career pathways
- Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support student success and program growth
Qualifications
- Valid Minnesota Teaching License required
- Preferred licensure areas:
- Construction Careers
- Manufacturing Careers
- Industrial Arts or Technology
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to connect curriculum to real-world applications and workforce skills
