Hutchinson Public Schools is looking for an Education Assistant for our Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) program for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year and beyond!

The hours for this position will vary based on sibling care needs but has the potential to work up to 19.5 hours per week. 

This position will provide sibling care for children ages infant to kindergarten entrance while their parents/siblings attend an ECFE class. Classes run 60-90 minutes. The sibling care provider leads the children in play, art, and a snack. Parents are responsible for bathrooming their own children. Classes generally run in the morning, late afternoon, and early evening hours.

Required Qualifications (one of the following): 
Candidates interested in the position but who do not meet the required qualifications below are still encouraged to apply, as the district is committed to helping them attain the necessary credentials.
  • Associates Degree
  • 60 semester college credits
  • Passing score on one of the state-approved tests (ParaEducator or ParaPro)
  • Competency Grid (can be completed upon hire)

The ECFE program serves children from birth up to kindergarten enrollment and is located in West Elementary.
