Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year at ACGC District Wide. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive occupational therapy services to students with diverse needs. This role involves collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to enhance students'' functional abilities and support their academic success.

Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students'' occupational therapy needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Design and implement therapeutic interventions to improve students'' physical, sensory, and cognitive skills.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom environment.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, including individual and group sessions.
- Monitor and document students’ progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
- Educate parents and caregivers on strategies to support their child''s development at home.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and coordinate services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with district and state regulations.
- Stay informed about best practices and current research in occupational therapy and special education.
- Advocate for the needs of students and promote awareness of occupational therapy services within the school community.

Requirements
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and staff.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student''s needs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for documentation and reporting.
- Commitment to professional development and staying current with industry trends.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Work Days: 154.5 (146 School Days + 8.5 Teacher Days) plus opportunities for Extended School Year and Overload
