Hancock Public School is seeking a dedicated and student-centered full-time 7?12 English/Language Arts teacher beginning with the 2026-27 school year. The candidate of choice will be working with two other experienced English/Language Arts teachers. Hancock is a small, friendly community of approximately 800 residents located in West Central Minnesota. Hancock Public School is a financially sound district, and thanks to strong support and involvement from the community, and a committed staff, our student population continues to grow. A complete remodel of existing space and new additions were added to our K-12 facility in 2013 and 2019. Primary Responsibilities: Teach middle school and high school English and/or Communications courses aligned to state standards Develop students? reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical thinking skills Implement effective classroom management Use a variety of instructional strategies and assessments to support student growth Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration Communicate regularly and professionally with students and families Maintain accurate records, grading, and required documentation Participate in curriculum development, professional learning, and school activities Qualifications: Valid Minnesota teaching license in English/Language Arts Ability to teach a range of secondary English and/or Communications courses Strong content knowledge and instructional skills Commitment to building positive relationships with students Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching at both middle school and high school levels Experience with College in the Schools, dual enrollment, or advanced coursework Salary & Benefits: Salary and benefits per the negotiated master agreement Professional development and support for CIS/dual enrollment credentialing Additional compensation is provided for each CIS/dual enrollment class taught. Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary and benefits per the negotiated master agreement
  • Professional development and support for CIS/dual enrollment credentialing
  • Additional compensation is provided for each CIS/dual enrollment class taught.
