One Act Play Director- (LeRoy-Ostrander #499) LeRoy-Ostrander seeks a dynamic candidate to hire as the One Act Play Director for the 2026-2027 season. This position will be responsible for all aspects of our program from 7-12. Qualifications: Previous experience in theater direction, performance, or production management preferred. Compensation: Compensation will be in accordance with Schedule C of the Teacher Master Agreement. Responsibilities: · Select an appropriate one act play that aligns with school standards and competition guidelines. · Develop a production schedule, including auditions, rehearsals, technical workdays, and performances. · Communicate clearly with students, parents, staff, and administration regarding rehearsal times, expectations, and event details. · Instruct students in acting, stage movement, voice projection, and character development. · Provide a positive and inclusive environment that supports student growth and teamwork. · Supervise students during all practices, performances, and competitions to ensure safety and compliance with school policies. · Coordinate with technical crew, set designers, costumers, and lighting/sound personnel. · Oversee all aspects of staging, blocking, and technical requirements. · Ensure production meets competition rules and time limits. · Adhere to district policies, MSHSL (or relevant governing body) regulations, and ethical standards. · Serve as a positive role model for students and represent the school professionally at all events.
