Description of District / Program:
St. Francis Area Schools is seeking a dedicated and skilled instructional coach to join our instructional leadership team. This TOSA (Teacher on Special Assignment) position is designed to support high-quality instruction across the district. The coach will work closely with teachers, school leaders, and fellow instructional coaches to improve instructional practices, align curriculum with new Minnesota standards, and ensure all students receive engaging and effective instruction.

Qualifications:
- Valid tier 3 or 4 Minnesota elementary teaching license (required)
- Experience in a coaching, mentoring, or leadership role (preferred)
- Bachelor''s Degree (required). Master Degree (preferred)
- Reading Specialist (preferred)
- Strong Math teaching and training experience (preferred)
- 5 Years Teaching Experience
- Demonstrated experience helping students achieve academic success
- Demonstrated ability to lead teachers in collaborative professional learning sessions, thorough understanding of and ability to provide training in reading and or math including assessments and interventions like Fastbridge, PRESS, and other evidence based resources and in instruction
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Skills in collecting, analyzing and using data for decision making
- Skills in digital technology applications and their use in curriculum
- Understanding and use of the MN Academic Standards
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate teacher learning through modeling, co-teaching, data analysis, lesson design, and professional learning communities.
- Analyze student achievement data to inform instruction and support academic growth in mathematics
- Serve as a resource for high-leverage math instructional practices, differentiation, and curriculum alignment.
- Work with the Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Principals and other Instructional Coaches to design a continuous improvement cycle to promote change and alignment of the K-5 instruction
- Work to effectively align instruction vertically and horizontally
- Support K-5 instruction through observation and coaching to improve instructional planning, teaching practices and the use of data, assessment and instructional technology
- Collaborate with district personnel and schools to develop instructional strategies and intervention programs
- Provide teachers with professional development, in-class consultation, assistance, feedback, and modeling through a structured and well-scheduled program
- Demonstrate evidence of their own continuing professional development and be willing to participate in specified coach training
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for the school and district, collect data necessary for program monitoring and evaluation and effectively present information to all school constituencies
- Oversee and coordinate assessment screening, diagnostic testing and progress monitoring for literacy and math
- Revise and update the K-5 pacing guide including pacing units for curricular resources
- Other duties as assigned
