Saint Andrew Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Intermediate Grades Teacher (5?6) for the 2026-2027 school year who works with both 5th and 6th grades while serving as the homeroom teacher for 5th grade students and collaborates with Grade 6 homeroom teacher. As a Catholic school committed to academic excellence and faith formation, we are looking for an educator who will inspire students to grow both intellectually and spiritually . Responsibilities: Teach assigned subjects (i.e., Science, Social Studies, etc.) to separate 5th grade and 6th grade classes Serve as the Grade 5 homeroom teacher, overseeing daily routines such as attendance, morning meetings, and community-building, and teaching Gr.5 Religion class Support the academic, social, and spiritual development of Grade 5-6 students Communicate regularly with Grade 5-6 families regarding student progress and needs Collaborate with other intermediate and middle school teachers for planning and curriculum alignment Help students transition between intermediate and middle school expectations Develop engaging lesson plans that meet academic standards and promote critical thinking, integrating Catholic values into lessons Incorporate technology and hands-on learning experiences in the classroom. Create a positive and supportive learning environment Assess and monitor student progress through various evaluation methods Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success Participate in school events, professional development, and faith-based activities Qualifications: Bachelor?s degree in Elementary Education Current State of Minnesota Teaching License (or willingness to obtain) Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church Experience teaching elementary or intermediate school students, preferably in a Catholic school setting Strong classroom management skills and ability to differentiate instruction Why Join Us? Qualifications:     

  • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education
  • Current State of Minnesota Teaching License (or willingness to obtain)

  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to differentiate instruction
