Position Title: Elementary Assistant Principal FLSA Status: Exempt FTE: 1.0 Start Date: 07/01/2026 Job Summary: The Elementary Assistant Principal at St. Anthony-New Brighton School District is responsible for providing instructional leadership, supporting staff, and fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment. This role includes assisting with daily administration, ensuring student safety and well-being, and serving as the acting principal in the principal''s absence. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Instructional Leadership Prioritize and provide instructional leadership to staff, including supporting curriculum planning, review, and implementation. Regularly collaborate with the instructional coach to support curriculum implementation. Facilitate site-based professional development and meetings. Staff Support and Supervision: Support staff in developing and sustaining an inclusive and equitable learning environment. Hire, support, direct, and provide feedback to licensed and non-licensed staff. Supervise and evaluate licensed and non-licensed staff. Building Administration: Assist with day-to-day building administration and activities. Support the development of the school schedule. Monitor student progress through co-facilitation of data teams. Student Support: Assist with the safety and well-being of students, staff, and volunteers. Provide social-emotional supports and discipline utilizing restorative practice values. Build positive relationships and communicate effectively with families and colleagues. Leadership and Collaboration: Serve as the building principal in the principal''s absence. Work cooperatively with other programs and staff, supporting other activities and initiatives. Additional Duties: Provide expertise and assistance to staff and the community. Perform other duties as required. Education and Experience Requirements: Degree: Bachelor''s Degree from an accredited university in Education or relevant instructional subject area. Master''s or PhD preferred. License: Minnesota K-12 Principal Licensure or proof of pending approved licensure. Experience: At least five years of successful experenice teaching in an urban,multicultural elementary setting. Salary and Benefits: Salary: $108,100 Salary is based on the St. Anthony Village Principals'' Association contract. Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, dental insurance, TRA pension & optional 403b plan.
