This position involves teaching courses in English Language Arts and Spanish, fostering strong literacy, communication, and world language skills in students. The ideal candidate will inspire a love of reading, writing, and language while creating an inclusive and engaging classroom environment. Responsibilities: Plan and deliver effective instruction in Communication/Language Arts and Spanish aligned with Minnesota Academic Standards Develop lessons that promote reading comprehension, writing proficiency, critical thinking, and language acquisition Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback to students and families Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies into the classroom Create a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration Participate in professional development and school activities Qualifications: Valid Minnesota teaching license in Communication Arts/Literature and Spanish (or ability to obtain licensure) Strong knowledge of best practices in literacy instruction and second language acquisition Excellent communication and classroom management skills Commitment to equity and meeting the needs of diverse learners Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching both English Language Arts and Spanish at the secondary level Familiarity with proficiency-based language instruction (ACTFL standards) Experience integrating culturally responsive teaching practices Compensation and Benefits: Salary based on education and experience per master agreement Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, retirement, and paid leave Application Process: Interested candidates should submit application and following information to: Applitrack Letter of interest Resume Copy of Minnesota teaching license Transcripts References Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
