Start Your Online Application Now Date of Availability: July 1, 2026 Date Closing: 04/21/2026 Aitkin Public Schools Rippleside Elementary Principal Grades: Pre K - 6 Closing Date: April 22, 2026 Qualifications: Minnesota Principal K-12 licensure A minimum of five years of teaching experience Administrative experience, experience at the Preschool/Elementary level preferred Outstanding organizational, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills in working with students, staff, parents, and community Demonstrated leadership in staff development, data analysis, and performance accountability Essential Functions Provides leadership to staff, students, and community in alignment with the District mission, vision, and strategic plan Fosters a positive school culture that promotes an environment of responsibility and respect Sets high standards and expectations for all students and staff in academic, arts, and activities Coordinates and leads the development of a comprehensive elementary school level curriculum, including oversight of requirements, standards, and ceremonies Responsible for the recruitment, selection and hiring, and support of all elementary staff Regularly evaluates all staff and provides effective staff development that addresses the needs of staff; provides coaching and assistance to staff in need of performance improvement - Helps staff establish rigorous, measurable goals Collaborates and works closely with district administration in matters impacting the district as a whole; participates in district-wide decision making, committees, and meetings to provide input, analysis, recommendation, and assist in the implementation of district-wide initiatives concerning staff development, curriculum, and programs Approaches discipline consistently and fairly and thoroughly documents disciplinary actions Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents and follow through in a timely manner Ability to organize multiple tasks and conflicting time constraints Fosters a shared commitment to high academic achievement and character development for all students and staff Performs other related duties as assigned by the Superintendent and School Board.
