Position Summary: Minnesota Teaching License in Special Education (ABS) Becker High School is seeking a dedicated, student focused, highly connected special education teacher. This teacher will be able to recognize opportunities to make a meaningful connection between the curriculum and the unique interests of students. This teacher will be able to successfully support students in their time of need and celebrate student success. This teacher will collaborate with special education colleagues and general education teachers to provide a highly supportive classroom environment that builds upon students'' interests and skills. Functional & Academic Inquiry Leader : A teacher who seeks strategies to make the academic standards tangible for students, anchoring instruction in real-world, observable events that help students bridge the gap between classroom learning and life skills. Master of Accommodations & Modifications : An adaptive instructional leader skilled at "leveling the playing field" through strategic accommodations and modifying the curriculum to ensure every lesson is both accessible and appropriately rigorous. Advocacy-Driven Communicator : A proactive staff member who serves as a bridge between the school and home, maintaining transparent, empathetic, and regular communication with families to empower them as partners in the Special Education process.
