Salary Range: $$46,936 - $ 90,238 (Based on education and experience; wages outlined in Certified contract located on district website ) Union - Ed MN FLSA - Overtime Exempt POSITION SUMMARY The General Education Early Childhood Education Teacher will facilitate learning within an early childhood/preschool setting for children ages 3-5. QUALIFICATIONS Current Minnesota Early Childhood teaching license (or ability to obtain appropriate licensure) with strong knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for preschool-aged children. Experience working with young children and families in early childhood settings, with a commitment to inclusive practices and supporting a wide range of developmental, cultural, and family needs. Positive, flexible, and collaborative professional who builds strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues and works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary early childhood team. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The essential functions for this position include but are not limited to the following: Plan and implement developmentally appropriate instruction using approved early childhood curriculum and adapt learning experiences to meet the diverse developmental, educational, and social-emotional needs of preschool-aged children. Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes purposeful play, independence, exploration, and school readiness. Build strong partnerships with families through positive communication, ongoing collaboration, and meaningful opportunities for family involvement in children''s learning. Conduct ongoing observation, documentation, and assessment of children''s growth and development to inform instruction, monitor progress, and communicate with families and team members. Collaborate with educational assistants, related service providers, specialists, and administrators to support all learners and maintain a cohesive, high-quality early childhood program. Provide direction, modeling, and support to classroom staff to ensure effective routines, classroom preparation, and implementation of high-quality instructional practices. Establish consistent classroom routines, transitions, and social-emotional supports that promote engagement, positive behavior, and independence. Design and maintain an organized, stimulating physical learning environment aligned with curriculum, standards, and developmentally appropriate practices. Demonstrate respect, sensitivity, and responsiveness to the diverse cultural, linguistic, developmental, and family backgrounds of children and families. Participate in professional development, staff meetings, collaborative planning, and continuous improvement efforts to strengthen program quality and student outcomes. Maintain classroom materials, supplies, records, and required documentation in accordance with district procedures, program expectations, and applicable regulations.
