As a Behind-the-Wheel Instructor, you''ll play a vital role in preparing students with the skills, awareness, and responsibility they need for behind-the-wheel lessons that extend far beyond the classroom and last a lifetime. Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and engaging Behind-the-Wheel Instructor to provide hands-on driver''s education to students, helping them build confidence, develop safe driving habits, and become responsible members of our community. What You''ll Do Provide behind-the-wheel instruction using safe, defensive driving practices Teach and assess Minnesota road test skills to prepare students for the driving exam Monitor student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback Ensure a safe, respectful, and professional learning environment Hours and Pay 10-15 hours per week $31 per hour Required Qualifications Valid Minnesota teaching license in Driver Education Valid Driver & Traffic Safety license Clean driving record as determined by Shakopee Public Schools Effective communication and interpersonal skills A genuine interest in working with students and contributing to community safety Application Information Internal applicants must be permanent district employees.
