K?12 Music & Band Teacher Location: Swanville, Minnesota www.swanville.k12.mn.us Position Type: Teacher 2026-2027 School Year Application Deadline: Open Until Filled Position Summary Swanville School District is seeking a qualified and student-focused educator to serve as a K?12 Music and Band Teacher . This position includes elementary general music instruction and middle/high school instrumental band direction. The successful candidate will foster student engagement, musical growth, and performance readiness while maintaining a positive and structured classroom environment. Primary Responsibilities Deliver general music instruction to students in grades K?12 Direct middle and high school band rehearsals and performances Prepare students for concerts and community events Maintain classroom organization and effective classroom management Communicate performance schedules and expectations with families Collaborate with staff to support student success Maintain music inventory and classroom resources Qualifications Valid Minnesota teaching license in Music (preferred) Experience teaching instrumental music and directing ensembles preferred Strong organizational and classroom management skills Commitment to student-centered instruction Ability to build positive relationships with students and families Compensation Compensation will follow district guidelines for teachers and is based on experience and licensure.
