Start Your Online Application Now Date of Availability: August, 2026 Date Closing: Once Filled Foreign Language Teacher (Grades 7-12) Position Purpose Parnassus Preparatory School, a Minnesota charter school dedicated to high, academic achievement and the classical model of education, seeks to hire a talented and energetic Englisher Learner/English as a Second Language teacher with expertise or interest in Classical Education in a K-12 setting. The ideal candidate would have experience teaching students with a variety of identified learning needs and the flexibility to adapt the general education curricula to meet the specific learning needs of students. A high importance is placed on effective partnering with general education teachers, parents, and the administration. Minimum Job Requirements: A minimum of a Bachelor''s Degree Ability to obtain Minnesota teaching license (Tier 1 - 4) Ability and willingness to teach the classical trivium and sequence model as defined by the school The ability to speak and write clearly and effectively Conviction in the values of a rigorous liberal-arts education Ability to maintain an orderly classroom Institution Description: The purpose of Parnassus is to develop graduates who are critical thinkers, coherent writers, confident speakers, thoughtful leaders, and responsible, compassionate and virtuous citizens. Located in the northwest suburbs of the Twin Cities, Parnassus is located in Maple Grove, MN with convenient highway access to both Minneapolis and Saint Paul. Qualifications Profile Certification/License: English as a Second Language Motor Vehicle Operator''s License or ability to provide own transportation. Education Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment. Masters Degree in related area preferred. Experience Successful prior foreign language teaching experience a plus.
