Location: Staples-Motley Elementary School Start Date: August 2026 Contract time: 1.0 FTE per the Master Contract Salary & Benefits: Per the Master Contract available at www.isd2170.org Posted: 4-23-2026 Closes: 5-15-2026 The Special Education Teacher will provide a group of 4-6 students in a self-contained classroom with instruction and case management. learning activities, and experiences that address their unique needs. This teacher would work in partnership with a full-time program para to provide learning activities, and experiences that address their unique needs. Licensure Current MN Teaching license in Special Education (preferred) - or - Current MN Teaching license or ability to obtain a MN Teaching license Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching in special education settings Experience in special education due process procedures including conducting evaluations, writing IEP?s, monitoring progress and facilitating meetings. Essential Functions Provide direct special education instruction and services aligned with students? IEPs to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth. Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications in compliance with state and federal requirements. Collaborate with support staff and families to support inclusive practices and student success. Use data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed. Create and maintain a structured, and supportive learning environment that teaches school-wide expectations.
