Start Your Online Application Now Special Education Teacher Position Available: 1.0 FTE Special Education Teacher Location: Foley Elementary School is a preK-3 primary school with 620 students and approximately 100 staff members Start Date: August 25, 2026 Position Summary: As part of the elementary special education team, you will be responsible for writing IEPs, conducting IEP meetings, instructing students with a wide range of abilities, assessing student learning, collecting and analyzing student data to plan instruction, creating an engaging and respectful classroom environment, communicating with students, parents and multiple stakeholders, maintaining accurate records, supervising students, managing educational assistants, scheduling, participating in school improvement initiatives, and learning professionally. Qualifications: Current MN Teaching License in DCD, EBD, or ASD preferred. Candidates with an ABS license may also be considered. Strong collaboration and communication skills Knowledge of due process, including referral and assessment procedures and writing IEPs, FBA/BIPs, etc. Trained or willing to be trained in Handle With Care Trained or willing to be trained in Structured Teach and STAR Benefits Package: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications: $51,818 - $91,664 from the previous contract - Current contract is under negotiation, Foley United Educators Master Agreement 2023-2025 Comprehensive health and dental insurance Retirement plan options (e.g., 403B) with employer contribution Paid time off, including PTO, and holidays Professional development and continuing education opportunities Life and disability insurance coverage Application Deadline: Open until filled.
