Starland School Job Description: Full-Time Lead Teacher for 2nd-4th Grade for 2026-2027 Address: 59917 236th St. Gibbon, MN 55335 Summary: Starland School is rooted in strong Christian beliefs. We are a small, private Christian school serving K-12 students located outside of Gibbon, MN. We are looking for a dedicated teacher who plans and implements daily lesson plans and assures the well-being of children in the classroom by performing the following duties. Our 2nd-4th-grade classroom will have 6 students for 2026-2027. Duties and Responsibilities: Plans and prepares lesson plans. Oversees and facilitates the general safety of the classroom environment and its activities. Interacts with children through instructional methods to include math, music, arts and crafts, reading, writing, science, social studies, and physical activities. Assists children with completing assigned projects and enhancing learning skills. Monitors talents, special abilities, disabilities, deficiencies, or problems of each child, documents issues/concerns as needed, and notifies administration. Promotes and fosters each child?s positive self-esteem and individual development toward their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Prepares thorough evaluations for children and holds parent-teacher conferences at least twice per year. Establishes and maintains a positive interpersonal relationship with all children, fellow staff, parents, and the community. Attends school events/ field trips and meetings as required. Maintains strong daily attendance on all school days (approximately 170 school days per academic year). Uses appropriate procedures if unable to come to work at any time. Perform general classroom cleaning duties as necessary. Maintains accurate and current attendance records and other related paperwork. Hours expected to be at school are 8:15 am-3:15 pm Monday through Friday. There is a break/prep time from 12:20 pm to 1 pm. School day hours are 8:45 am-3 pm. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Required Education/Experience: Bachelor?s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university.
