Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program ? Licensed to practice occupational therapy in the State of Minnesota POSITION SUMMARY ISD 361 is seeking a dedicated and student-centered School-Based Occupational Therapist to join our Special Education team for the 2026?2027 school year. This .80 FTE position serves students enhancing students'' functional performance, participation, and independence within the educational environment, primarily through fine motor skill development, sensory processing support, and environmental adaptations. Their key roles include conducting collaborative intervention plans, evaluations, developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborating with staff/families, and implementing classroom modifications. Provides services under IDEA, functioning as a related service provider in accordance with state and federal law. The OT will work collaboratively across PreK-12th grade educational settings to improve, develop, restore, and maintain each student''s sensory and motor function in support of their educational success. EXPERIENCE & SKILLS ? Ability to identify motor and physical impairments and developmental delays ? Treatment planning specific to pediatric populations ? Innovative interventions for students across a wide range of disabilities ? Competent computer skills for documentation and communication ? Comprehensive understanding of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and the Whole Child ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS ? Conduct timely and appropriate evaluations of students referred for early intervention and related services under IDEA ? Prepare clear, thorough written evaluation reports ? Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute clinical expertise ? Collaborate in the development of IFSPs and IEPs ? Provide direct, indirect, and consultative occupational therapy services in home, telepractice, and educational settings within the least restrictive environment ? Collaborate with school personnel to address students'' occupational therapy needs ? Delegate activities to teachers, parents, and paraprofessionals as appropriate ? Train and instruct teachers, parents, and paraprofessionals in delegated tasks and equipment use ? Travel to and among district schools to provide services ? Maintain accurate and timely records of services provided ? Lift, transfer, and position students and equipment as required ?
