This is an exciting opportunity to shape a thriving program and make a lasting impact on students from International Falls and the surrounding border community. Position Overview ? Direct 7th?12th grade Concert Band and Choir ? Pep Band coordination and leadership ? Solo & Ensemble preparation ? Elementary music support as assigned ? Individual and small group lessons ? Assist with musical theatre productions Responsibilities ? Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned band and choir instruction for grades 7?12 ? Organize and direct all school performances including concerts, pep band events, and community engagements ? Prepare students for MN State High School League large group and solo & ensemble contests ? Maintain and oversee district instruments and music equipment inventory ? Build a culture of excellence, discipline, and joy in the performing arts ? Recruit and retain students in the music program across all grade levels ? Provide lessons and supports for individual and small group growth and development ? Lead and perform band and choir program at ISD 361 events ? Join a thriving and future forward district who celebrates the arts in education Minimum Qualifications ? Valid Minnesota teaching license in Instrumental Music (K?12) and/or Vocal Music (K?12) ? Bachelor?s degree in Music Education or related field from an accredited institution ? Meets all Minnesota Department of Education licensure and background check requirements Preferred Qualifications ? Dual licensure in both Instrumental and Vocal Music, strongly preferred ? Experience directing concert band, jazz band, and/or show or concert choir ? Demonstrated success in recruiting and building music programs ? Experience with elementary music instruction and feeder program development ? Background in musical theatre direction or accompaniment a plus Compensation & Benefits ?
