Preschool and Kindergarten Lead Teacher (Casa) (ages 3-6) HIHCM is a joy-filled school where we love children, learning and Jesus. We are looking for applicants who can individualize education, be innovative in their approach, and who are excited to bring faith into the learning environment. Hand in Hand Christian Montessori ? Wayzata Campus,?has a part-time Lead teacher opening in our licensed childcare center for the 26-27 school year. Hours expected to be on campus are between 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday - Wednesday. Core Responsibilities Planning. preparing and presenting individual and group Montessori lessons in the areas of Faith, Practical Life, Mathematics, Language Arts, Culture/Geography, and Science that spark individual children?s interests Creating and maintaining a safe, nurturing, self-directed environment for students Facilitating a harmonious and collaborative work environment with co-workers and children Engaging in proactive communication with colleagues and parents Writing and delivering conferences and information for parents Displaying leadership, flexibility, and patience Applicants should have at least one year of experience in licensed childcare or in an educational setting and a degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood or related field. Montessori experience is preferred, though not required. We offer opportunities for continued education in Montessori classroom leading. Hours expected to be on campus for full-time are 8am-4pm Monday-Wednesday. Hourly rate for salary starts at $19/hour and could be higher based upon experience, certifications, licenses, and education.
