Senior Accountant Location: District Office | Status: Exempt | Schedule: 40 Hours/Week (M?F), 12 month position Position Summary: With the focus to support and advance the Edina Public Schools'' mission, vision, and core values, the Senior Accountant is responsible for the planning, administration, and oversight of the district''s accounting operations, financial reporting, budgetary controls, cash management, and investment activities. This position ensures that the district''s financial records are maintained in compliance with Minnesota''s Uniform Financial Accounting and Reporting Standards (UFARS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and all applicable state and federal requirements. Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor''s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field is required. A minimum of five (5) years of accounting or financial management experience is required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required. Compensation & Benefits: Salary Range: The salary for this position ranges from $86,939 to $102,099 depending on experience and qualifications. New hires will typically start at the entry-level rate within the salary range, while candidates with relevant experience may be placed at a higher starting rate, up to the maximum of the salary range. Salary decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis, considering the individual''s experience and the district''s budget. All employees participate in the state''s largest pension program, the Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA).
