Willmar Public Schools is currently seeking applicants for the position of
Special Education Paraprofessional (multiple positions).
The Special Education Paraprofessional plays a vital role in supporting students with unique needs by providing assistance in areas such as academic growth, behavior management, mobility, self-care, communication, and social development. This position ensures students can fully engage and thrive in the classroom environment.

Schedule (Approximately) | Secondary 7:30 AM- 3:00 PM Elementary 8:00 AM- 3:30 PM |
Working Days per Year | 173 Days, 2026-2027 School Year |

Qualifications Required |
● Highly Qualified Status (Two-year degree or higher, 60 college credits toward a degree, or a passing score on the MN approved ParaEducator exam (offered upon hire within the district)). ● Basic child development educational background or knowledge preferred. ● Willingness to work with and show respect for students with special needs. ● Ability to work independently. ● Demonstrated communication skills, patience, and flexibility. ● Ability to maintain confidentiality. ● Ability to follow the teacher’s plan and direction and communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
