BYRON INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL 5th Grade General Education Teacher
Byron Intermediate School is accepting applications for a highly qualified, licensed General Education instructor to teach and support students with a wide variety of abilities and needs in 4th grade. Description: This teacher will provide General Education Instruction to students at Intermediate School. Qualified applicants will be able to or have:
- Working knowledge of Minnesota State Standards
- Work within a standards based grading framework.
- Engage all students in attaining a personalized learning experience through thoughtful planning and high levels of instructional pedagogy so that students are able to create and think critically.
- Work collaboratively with others within the school, grade level and professional learning community.
- Maintain a growth mindset, an attitude of gratitude, and a spirit of continuous improvement.
- Listen and be able to accept and apply constructive feedback.
- Foster a caring, nurturing classroom environment that promotes high levels of character and citizenship through consistent classroom management.
- Provide students with quality feedback through rubrics, scales and assessment.
- Provide clear, consistent communication to students, colleagues and parents.
- Be reliable, responsible and respectful at all times within the school learning community.
- Create intentional, professional connections and relationships with students and colleagues.
- Maintain professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the school and/or in self-selected professional growth activities
- Select and requisition books, instructional materials, tools, instructional aids, and maintain required inventory records.
- Support district extracurricular and coaching positions as needed.
License Requirements: MN K-6 Elementary Classroom License.
