Position Title: Speech Language Pathologist 1.0 Assignment Location: Benton Stearns Education District Anticipated Start Date: August 2026 Salary: $52,086.00 ? $102,475.00 per year. Placement per the EdMN Benton Stearns Master Agreement, based on education and experience. Other Compensation: Paid professional development opportunities, health insurance, paid time off, compensation for completing third party billing procedures. Application Closing Date: Open Until Filled POSITION OVERVIEW: The Benton Stearns Education District #6383 is seeking qualified applicants for a full time (1.0) Speech Language Pathologist position. This position will provide speech and language services across multiple educational settings, including Benton Stearns programs and one or more member districts. Services may be delivered through a combination of onsite and remote service models based on student needs, programming needs, and district requirements. The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students with a variety of communication needs while ensuring compliance with special education due process requirements. Responsibilities may include assessment, direct and indirect services, consultation, case collaboration, documentation, and completion of third-party billing procedures. QUALIFICATIONS: ? Current Minnesota PreK?12 Speech Language Pathologist License or ability to acquire licensure ? Experience and desire to work with children with special needs in an educational setting ? Strong collaboration and communication skills ? Knowledge of due process procedures including referral, assessment, and documentation requirements ? Ability to complete third party billing procedures ? Experience with a variety of communication disorders and service delivery models preferred ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Provide speech and language evaluations and assessments for students with a variety of communication needs ? Develop and implement individualized goals and services aligned with student needs and IEP requirements ? Deliver speech and language services through a combination of direct, indirect, consultative, onsite, and remote methods as appropriate ? Collaborate with teachers, families, related service providers, administrators, and outside agencies ? Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and due process activities ? Maintain required documentation and timelines in accordance with district, state, and federal requirements ? Complete third party billing procedures and maintain related documentation ? Support students in accessing educational programming and developing communication skills across environments ABOUT US: At Benton Stearns, we serve students from Grafton Residential and our six member districts: Foley, Holdingford, Kimball, ROCORI, Sartell St. Stephen, and Sauk Rapids Rice. Students in our Setting IV programs have been referred by their home districts because they require additional supports beyond what can be provided in a traditional educational setting. Our programs serve students with a variety of disabilities and significant social, emotional, behavioral, and academic needs from kindergarten through age 21. During their time at Benton Stearns, students develop academic, social, communication, and life skills with the goal of building independence and increasing success within school and community environments. We are relationship based and use positive supports to increase student motivation and reduce unexpected behaviors. We offer small class sizes and low adult to student ratios to support individualized programming and student success. Grafton is a therapeutic residential program located in Cold Spring, Minnesota. Residents being served by Grafton require specialized support due to autism, cognitive impairments, and mental health needs requiring intensive educational services.
