Start Your Online Application Now Date of Availability: Fall 2026 Date Closing: Open Until Filled Description: Saber Connection Pearson Coordinator, 1.0 FTE, approximately 260 work days at 8 hours/day - hours will vary based on site needs Monday through Friday. This position will be a split shift. Job Summary: The Program Coordinator assists in the planning, development, and coordination of the Saber Connection program at Pearson Early Learning Center (PELC). This position gives work direction to staff and leads programming provided before and after school and during the summer at PELC, ensuring a safe, engaging, and high-quality experience for all participants. Essential Duties: Assist in the planning and development of curriculum Supervise and implement daily activities Provide leadership with program responsibilities including snack, paperwork, attendance, discipline, and communication Give work direction to staff onsite Assist in Interviewing, hiring, evaluating and training staff for building Process time cards for staff Collaborate and build positive relationships with schools and district staff Build relationships and support school as needed Ensure high quality customer service Works directly with large and small groups of children Ensure children follow established rules and report concerns to Program Specialist Provide welcoming environment for families in Saber Connection Document incidents or accidents on correct forms Follow district, program and certification policies and procedures Represent Shakopee Public Schools, Community Education and Saber Connection in a positive manner Other duties as assigned Pay & Benefits: A competitive benefit package is also available and includes the following- Medical Insurance Dental Insurance HSA&VEBA Flexible Spending & Dependent Care Accidental Injury & Critical Illness Life Insurance Short & Long Term Disability Employee Assistance Program Paid Time Off- 15 sick days, 25 vacation days, & 12 paid holidays PERA Retirement Plan (Public Employees Retirement Association) - 7.5% district contribution 403(B) plan- 2.5% match Pay Rate- $42,720 - $91,000, typical hiring range is $54,000 to $64,000 depending on experience and qualifications. Qualifications: Three years experience in the area of community education, Preschool and/or School-Age Care, or similar programs Experience at the building level, preferred Ability to multitask while maintaining a positive demeanor. Post Secondary coursework in education or related area preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor''s Degree is required, preferably in a related field. A combination of education and related experience will be considered.
