The teacher will collaborate with colleagues, families, and administration to support student success and contribute to a positive school culture. Requirements & Qualifications A Minnesota teaching degree is required in K-12 Instrumental and Classroom Music . Related licensure and/or experience in the music field may be considered. Essential Functions Develops a balanced music program and lessons to organize class time so that students have adequate time for preparation, rehearsal and instruction. Utilizes repertoire of all types of music literature as appropriate. Plans, coordinates rehearsals for, and directs students in musical programs and performances outside the classroom. Schedules and coordinates performance dates for auditorium use, arranges for set up and take down of equipment and care of auditorium. Develops and administers music education curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives. Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small/large group instruction and student learning. Communicates with students, parents and multiple stakeholders.
