Position : Physical Education Teacher (Grades preK?8), 0.5?1.0 FTE School Year : 2026?2027 About Nasha Shkola Charter School: Nasha Shkola Charter School is a small K?8 public charter school located in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. Our mission is to provide a strong academic foundation while fostering multilingualism, multicultural understanding, and appreciation of Russian language and Slavic heritage. More than 90% of our students are multilingual learners. Nasha Shkola is not a language immersion school. Core academic instruction is delivered in English using evidence-based curricula aligned with Minnesota standards. Students also receive daily instruction in Russian language and culture as part of our unique heritage-focused educational program. Responsibilities Teach Physical Education to students in grades preK?8 in accordance with Minnesota Academic Standards. Plan and implement engaging lessons that promote physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyles. Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment for all students. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Organize and supervise physical activities, games, and fitness assessments. Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student participation and progress. Participate in school events, professional development, and school improvement initiatives. Position Structure This position may be offered as either a 0.5 FTE or 1.0 FTE assignment. The 0.5 FTE position consists of Physical Education instruction. Candidates interested in a full-time (1.0 FTE) position may be assigned additional duties as an Academic Support Teacher, providing small-group instruction, intervention support, supervision, and other student support services based on the candidate''s qualifications and school needs. Qualifications Applicants must hold or be eligible to obtain a Minnesota teaching license in Physical Education. Commitment to promoting physical fitness, healthy habits, and positive character development. Experience working with multilingual learners is preferred but not required. Experience coaching youth sports or leading extracurricular activities is desirable but not required. A full position description is available upon request.
