OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES The Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) & Behavior Interventionist is responsible for supporting BLHS students with dedication, enthusiasm, adaptability, kindness, passion, and energy. A significant portion of this role consists of preparing and delivering appropriate instruction, implementing evidence-based behavioral interventions, and establishing solid developmental foundations for young learners. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY ? Specialized Instruction: Design, implement, and adapt individualized instructional plans to meet the unique developmental, cognitive, and social-emotional needs of early childhood students with special education needs. ? Behavioral Support: Conduct functional behavior assessments, design positive behavior support plans, and provide direct, hands-on intervention to help students manage challenging behaviors and develop crucial self-regulation skills. ? Collaboration & Teamwork: Partner closely with general education teachers, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and families to ensure a cohesive, multidisciplinary approach to student growth. ? IEP Management: Formulate, review, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), completing all required compliance documentation, goal tracking, and progress reporting in accordance with state and federal regulations. ? Environment Facilitation: Maintain a safe, structured, inclusive, and engaging learning environment specifically tailored to early childhood learners. Qualifications & Requirements ? Licensure: Valid Minnesota teaching license in Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) required or interest in pursuing licensure or enrolled in a current ECSE State Approved Program ?
