Head Boys Basketball Coach (LeRoy-Ostrander #499) LeRoy-Ostrander seeks a dynamic candidate to hire as the Head Boys Basketball Coach for the 2026-2027 season. This position will be responsible for all aspects of our program from K-12. Qualifications: Previous coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level preferred. Interest in helping student athletes grow, academically, athletically, socially to build character and maturity. Compensation: Compensation will be in accordance with Schedule C of the Teacher Master Agreement. Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive basketball program that emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Plan and conduct effective practices that focus on fundamental skills and game strategies. To assist in maintain high academic standards for all student athletes. To direct, supervise and regularly evaluate the performance of all assistant coaches of the basketball program. To work cooperatively with other head coaches & assistant coaches at LeRoy-Ostrander school; participate in summer camps and supervise weight room/gymnasium. To foster among the participants and spectators and appreciation of the values of athletics, a desire to win, display an attitude of good sportsmanship and a sense of pride in team, school, self, and community. To help lead the training, conditioning, and performance of the basketball team and assist all coaches in their own individual development as coaches. To act as a positive influence upon the behavior of members of his/her athletic staff and team. Must have a love and passion for working with young people and be able to communicate effectively with student athletes, coaching staff, administration, and parents. Submit all reports and information requested by the Activities Director. Ensure compliance with the MSHSL and school district rules and regulations.
