Start Your Online Application Now Job Description for ISD #316 Theater Director- Greenway High School One Act Play Supervised by: Activities Director/HS Principal Employment Status: At Will Employment-No continuing contract rights from year to year Date of Availability: Fall 2026 Date Closing: Open Until Filled Description: Theater Director- Greenway High School One Act Play Job Summary: We are seeking a director for the One-Act play (competition in the first year is TBD). The audition and rehearsal process typically begins in late November or early December, and competition takes place near the end of January. The play will perform at the region competition, in our home theater and potentially other venues. Director is responsible for creating vision for show, running production meetings, coordinating all elements of production, collaborating with other staff members, selecting cast, planning rehearsals, and managing budget. Qualifications: Directorial experience required. Previous experience working with theater groups at the high school level preferred. Must complete Minnesota State High School League Coaches Education Requirements. Must possess effective theatrical coaching techniques and skills. Must possess a thorough knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies and techniques of the One Act Play competition. Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents and students. Working Conditions: Lifting, sitting, pulling, standing, pushing, construction of sets, etc. Selection Procedure: Applications will be reviewed beginning immediately until the position is filled.
