Head Coach for Girls Golf Position Overview The Head Girls Golf Coach is responsible for the visionary leadership of the Girls Golf Program. The Head Coach will manage the program''s day-to-day operations, including recruiting within the school and identifying potential Holy Family students, overseeing and managing the staff, and developing individual team members. The Head Girls Golf Coach must abide by the NFHS, the MSHSL, and Holy Family Catholic High School rules and regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist in managing and supervising athletic activities, contests, and practice sessions to promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, discipline, respect, and good sportsmanship. Use various instructional techniques and media to meet the needs and improve student-athletes abilities in golf. Help coordinate the development and promotion of the Golf Program across the school community. Play a role in creating a coaching staff that works together toward a common goal within the Golf Program and provides unity across all levels and teams. Assist with establishing performance criteria for competition and evaluating students? athletic abilities initially and continuously. Assist with developing a regular practice schedule and organizing practice time for individual and team development. Encourage sportsmanlike conduct in all phases of athletic participation at all times. Encourage and support multisport athletes within Holy Family Catholic High School. Assist student-athletes with college recruitment. Act as a team representative and promote the sport by communicating with news media and other organizations. Participate in special activities, including parent meetings, senior night, banquets, etc. Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Director of Activities or other appropriate administrator. Education and/or Experience Experience coaching Golf at the high school level or higher. Effective coaching techniques and skills. Knowledge of the sport''s rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, governing organizations (MSHSL, etc.), opponents, staff, parents, and athletes. Competencies Possess excellent organizational, communication, delegation, and interpersonal skills. Be an effective and timely communicator, both in written and oral form. Maintain appropriate documentation. Display good judgment, time management, and the ability to prioritize. Professionally represent the organization at all times.
